CONTEXT NEWS
- Nestlé is among the companies interested in purchasing
Hain Celestial Group, Bloomberg reported on Nov. 21, citing
people familiar with the matter. It could buy some of all of the
company, which owns brands including Terra and Earth's Best, the
story said.
- Earlier this year French dairy group Danone closed its
purchase of WhiteWave, a maker of milk-substitute products, for
$10.4 billion. The deal was announced the summer prior, and was
the company's largest since 2007. In July, Campbell Soup bought
Pacific Foods for $700 million.
