Sunny Optical hits near 2-year high on robust earnings estimate

** Shares of Sunny Optical Technology Group  2382.HK  rise
5.8% to HK$93.7, their highest since April 2023, and on course
for ninth straight session of gains
    ** The Chinese handset camera modules producer and supplier
expects to post 2.64-2.75 bln yuan ($361.51-$376.57 mln) net
profit for 2024, up 140% to 150% y/y, thanks to global
smartphone market recovery and strong new energy vehicle demand 
    ** Company also says January shipment volume of its
spherical glass lenses increased 40% y/y, handset lens sets
climbed 2.6% y/y and vehicle lens sets rose 6.5% y/y
    ** The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index  .HSCE  climbs
1.3%, while Hang Seng Tech Index  .HSTECH  and Hang Seng Index
 .HSI  both rise 1.4%
    ** Stock rose 30% YTD
