Technology stocks weighed on the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq on Monday as caution set
in ahead of the Federal Reserve's pivotal monetary policy decision, due later in
the week, with a majority of traders pricing in a steep reduction in borrowing
costs.  .N 
        
    At 11:31 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.19% at
41,470.55. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.17% at 5,616.5 and the Nasdaq Composite
 .IXIC  was down 0.79% at 17,544.279.
