Directorate Change

The Company announces the appointment of Nigel Rogers as Executive Chairman with immediate effect. Doug Liversidge CBE, previously Non-Executive Chairman, has stood down as Chairman, but remains on the Board as a Non-Executive Director.

Nigel qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1983 spending eight years with PwC before moving into industry. He managed the flotation of Stadium Group plc ("Stadium") as Group Finance Director, before progressing to Group Chief Executive Officer in 2001. Under his leadership, Stadium divested several non-core businesses, focusing on the successful development of its electronic design and manufacturing capabilities in the UK and China to a global customer base. He joined 600 Group plc as Group Chief Executive Officer in 2012 and led the turnaround of the AIM-quoted global machine tool business (Colchester-Harrison), increasing strategic focus on the growth of its laser marking business (Electrox) until April 2015. Nigel has been Non-Executive Deputy Chairman of Transense Technologies plc, the AIM-quoted provider of sensor systems, since July 2015.

Doug Liversidge commented: "The role of chairman of SI has become more demanding in time over recent months and I welcome wholeheartedly the introduction of Nigel to the Board as Executive Chairman. I have no doubt that he will drive the Company forward drawing on his extensive experience."

Nigel Rogers commented: "Following a difficult period, SI has been successfully stabilised through the hard work and commitment of the Board and major shareholders. I am looking forward to supporting the Board and executive management team in moving the business forward for the benefit of all stakeholders.

"I would also like to place on record the Board's appreciation for Doug's leadership of the board of SI over many years."
