** Shares in Suse SUSEG.DE rise 5.7% after Swedish
financial investor EQT EQTAB.ST said on Friday it planned to
"opportunistically increase its stake" in the Linux software

** EQT to buy Suse shares for up to 100 million euros ($102
million) within nine months from Aug. 8
** At Friday's closing price of EUR 17.47, EQT could
increase its stake by around 3.4 percentage points to almost 80%
** Suse has shed about 40% of its value since it went public
in May 2021
** Earlier this year, other investors such as Thoma Bravo
had approached Suse and EQT, but the Swedish investor rejected
their offers, sources familiar with the matter said at the time
