Suven Life Sciences jumps on late-stage trial for dementia aggression treatment

** Indian drugmaker's shares  SUVP.NS  gain as much as 11.1%
to 87.95 rupees
    ** SUVP on Monday announced a global late-stage trial of
SUVN-502 (Masupirdine), its treatment for agitation and
aggression in Alzheimer's type dementias  urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nFWN2PN01V
    ** Study will enroll about 387 patients starting in
September and will be conducted in sites in the U.S. and Europe,
with topline results expected by the end of 2024
    ** SUVN-502 previously underwent a mid-stage trial on 564
patients for moderate Alzheimer's disease without meeting
trial's main goal
    ** More than 1.2 mln shares traded as of 0433 GMT, 2.3 times
their 30-day moving avg of ~538,000 shares
    ** Up to Monday's close, stock had fallen 12.5% YTD
