Wall Street's main indexes took a pause on Thursday after a surge in the
previous session, helped by a batch of bumper earnings from major banks, while
investors assessed data to gauge the outlook for interest rate cuts this
year. .N

43,164.73. The S&P 500 .SPX was down 0.12% at 5,942.88, and the Nasdaq
Composite .IXIC was down 0.55% at 19,404.14.
