U.S. stocks kicked off the holiday-shortened week on a positive note, as technology stocks rose further on renewed enthusiasm over artificial intelligence, while investors awaited key economic data later this week. .N

At 10:59 EST, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up at 0.38%, to 48,315.84. The S&P 500 .SPX gained 30.52 points, or 0.45%, to 6,865.02, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC advanced 104.716 points, or 0.45%, to 23,412.
