Synlogic rises on FDA's 'orphan drug' tag for blood disorder treatment

** Synlogic Inc's shares  SYBX.O  rise 29.8% to 73 cents in
premarket trading 
    ** U.S. FDA grants orphan drug designation to Synlogic'
SYNB1934, an experimental therapy for phenylketonuria
    ** The orphan drug status is given to drugs that aim to
treat rare conditions and that are protected by government
incentives if approved and launched
    ** SYNB1934 has Rare Pediatric Disease Designation from the
FDA and orphan designation from European Medicines Agency (EMA)
    ** As of last close, SYBX's stock down 26.32% YTD
