BUZZ-Synopsys up on over $1 billion chip design licensing deal with Amazon ** Shares of chip design software maker Synopsys SNPS.O rise 2.4% to $425 premarket
** Amazon.com's AMZN.O cloud computing unit AWS has entered a multi-year deal worth more than $1 billion to license chip design intellectual property from Synopsys
** As part of the deal, Synopsys will also adopt AWS computing and storage services, as well as Amazon Bedrock to build and deploy AI applications
** Up to last close, SNPS had fallen 11.6% YTD
