Syros Pharma gains on positive cancer therapy trial data

** Shares of Syros Pharmaceuticals Inc  SYRS.O  up ~4% at
$3.81 
    ** Co reports initial data from an early-stage trial testing
its experimental therapy, SY-5609, in combination with
chemotherapy for treating a type of pancreatic cancer 
    ** Says SY-5609 was generally safe as of Oct. 12; adding
that one of four patients showed a confirmed reduction in tumor
size 
    ** Co says it will seek a partnership for further
development of SY-5609 
    ** U.S. FDA had granted the therapy "orphan drug" status in
September for treating pancreatic cancer
    ** Including session moves, stock down ~88% YTD
