Syros Pharma rises on positive cancer therapy data

** Shares of Syros Pharmaceuticals Inc  SYRS.O  rise 23% to
$3.47
    ** Co reports initial data from a mid-stage trial testing
its experimental combination therapy for treating a type of
blood cancer   
    ** The therapy, tamibarotenein, was tested in combination
with AbbVie-Roche's Venclexta and azacitidine in newly
diagnosed, unfit patients with a type of acute myeloid leukemia
(AML)     
    ** 78% of evaluable patients in the treatment group showed
disappearance of cancer signs compared to 30% of evaluable
patients treated with Venclexta and azacitidine alone - SYRS   
    ** Syros says continues to enroll patients in the study and
expects updated trial data in 2024
    ** Including session's move, stock down ~13% YTD
