    POLITICS/GENERAL
    Nations from the Mediterranean, Middle East and Africa
agreed steps in Rome on Sunday to try to slow unauthorised
migration and to tackle some of the pressures driving people to
leave their homes and attempt to reach Europe.
    
    Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who will visit the White
House on Thursday, said that U.S. President Joe Biden had never
challenged her on the issue of Italy being part of the Chinese
Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
    
    Firefighters battled blazes in the southern Italian region
of Calabria and properties on the island of Sicily suffered
blackouts as temperatures surged again during a heat wave that
has caused chaos across parts of Europe.

    DEBT
    The Treasury said on Friday it would offer 7.5 bln euros of
BOT bills at auction on July 26.
    
    Treasury announces sale of BTP and CCTeu bonds, with
relative amounts to be auctioned on July 27.
    
    COMPANIES
    BANKS
    The European Central Bank (ECB) will ask banks to provide
weekly liquidity data from September so that it can carry out
more frequent checks on their ability to ward off potential
shocks as interest rates rise, the ECB supervisory chief said on
Saturday. 
    
    ENERGY SECTOR 
    Italy - together with the United States, India and Brasil -
promoted the launch of a Global Alliance for biofuels at the G20
meeting on Saturday, Italy's Energy Minister Gilberto Pichetto
Fratin said, adding the initiative would help create common
standards for the industry.
    
    JUVENTUS  JUVE.MI 
    The club has reached a deal with ACF Fiorentina for the
temporary disposal, until 30 June 2024, of the registration
rights of the player Arthur Henrique Ramos De Oliveira Melo for
a consideration of 2 million euros, and bonuses up to a maximum
of 2 million euros. 
    
    GENERALI  GASI.MI 
    A number of international groups are in the running to buy
TUA Assicurazioni from Generali, sources with knowledge of the
matter said, as Italy's top insurer aims to streamline assets
inherited in a deal in 2021.
    TUA Assicurazioni, a non-life company founded in 2003, is
valued at around 300 million euros ($335 million), according to
the sources.

    Italian pencils and creative tools maker F.I.L.A.  FILA.MI 
said on Friday the board of its Indian unit Doms had approved an
initial public offering.
    
    PIERREL  PRL.MI 
    Ends capital increase.
    
    EXPRIVIA  XPR.MI 
    Abaco3 starts full voluntary takeover bid on Exprivia
shares; ends on Sept. 4.
    
    AUTOGRILL  AGL.MI 
    Is de-listed from Euronext Milan as of Monday.
    
    POSTE ITALIANE  PST.MI 
    Board meeting on H1 results, press release on July 25.
    
    Trade ex-dividend: ENEL  ENEI.MI  of 0.20 euro per share as
final dividend (0.20 euro per share as interim dividend on Jan.
23, 2023); PIRELLI & C  PIRC.MI  of 0.218 euro per ordinary
share; MFE-MEDIAFOREUROPE  MFEB.MI  of 0.05 euro per category A
and category B shares.
    
    DIARY
    Rome, "UN Food Systems Stocktaking Moment" summit with heads
of State and government and ministers from 193 U.N. Countries
members starts; ends on July 26. On Monday opening ceremony with
U.N. Secretary General Antonio Guterres, Prime Minister Giorgia
Meloni (1230 GMT).
    Rome, Industry Minister Adolfo Urso convenes trade unions
CGIL, CISL, UIL and UGL secretaries ahead of the transition
agreement between the government and Stellantis  STLAM.MI  (0830
