U.S. technology shares rose on Thursday on optimism around a speedy economic
recovery, although the Federal Reserve's unexpectedly hawkish message on
monetary policy kept the S&P 500 and the Dow indexes subdued.  .N 
    At 12:01 p.m. ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 0.81% at
33,756.69. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.20% at 4,215.36 and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was up 0.72% at 14,141.172.
