      Tate & Lyle PLC (the Company) has been informed that today Paul       Forman, a Non-Executive Director of the Company, purchased a total of       10,000 ordinary shares of 25 pence each in the capital of the Company       (Shares) at a price of 541.82 pence per Share on the London Stock       Exchange. Mr Forman had not previously held any shares in the Company.    
      This notification is made in accordance with DTR 3.1.4R(1)(a) of the       FCAs Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
