Tate & Lyle PLC (the Company) has been informed today that Marian       Murphy, a person closely associated with Dr Gerry Murphy, a Person       Discharging Managerial Responsibilities, acquired 10,000 ordinary shares       of 25 pence each in the capital of the Company (Shares) at a purchase       price of 571.1953 pence per share.
