                      Notification of transactions by a Person Discharging Managerial 
      Responsibilities and a Person Closely Associated with them
                    
Tate & Lyle PLC (the ‘Company’) announces that it was informed yesterday 
      that on 29 March 2018 Sarah Adams, a person closely associated with 
      Rowan Adams, a Person Discharging Managerial Responsibilities, sold 
      3,682 ordinary shares of 25 pence each in the capital of the Company 
      (‘Shares’) at a price of 543.60 pence per Share and purchased 3,652 
      Shares at a price of 544.476 pence per Share as a result of a transfer 
      of Shares into an ISA.
The notifications below, which have been made in accordance with the 
      requirements of the EU Market Abuse Regulation, provides further detail.
