Notification of transactions by Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities
Tate & Lyle PLC (the 'Company') announces that a grant of options and awards over ordinary shares of 25 pence each in the capital of the Company (the 'Shares') was made on 17 July 2019 under the Tate & Lyle Performance Share Plan 2012 ('PSP') in respect of the year ended 31 March 2019. Further detail is provided in the table below:

Awards under the PSP are structured as either nil-cost options or conditional awards. Options and awards granted under the PSP will only vest to the extent that certain performance criteria are satisfied by the Company over a three-year performance period which runs from 1 April 2019 to 31 March 2022. These criteria are described in the Annual Report 2019.
 
No consideration is payable for the grant or exercise of the options or awards under the PSP.
 
Additionally, the Company was informed that on 17 July 2019, Jim Stutelberg, a Person Discharging Managerial Responsibilities, sold 44,000 ordinary shares of 25 pence each in the capital of the Company at a share price of 757.7 pence per share.
 
The notifications below, which have been made in accordance with the requirements of the EU Market Abuse Regulation, provide further detail.
