Russia's seaborne fuel exports fall slightly in November, data shows

MOSCOW, Dec 12 (Reuters) - Russia's seaborne oil product exports in November were down by 0.8% from October at 7.494 million metric tons as the impact of drone attacks on energy infrastructure was offset to a degree by completion of maintenance at several refineries, data from industry sources and Reuters calculations showed.

Although overall volumes changed only slightly, flows through individual ports varied because of factors including the drone attacks and recovery of processing at several refineries.

Fuel exports from Russian Baltic ports — Primorsk, Vysotsk, St. Petersburg and Ust-Luga — rose by 20.6% month on month to 4.697 million tons, the data from industry sources showed.

Increased shipments were driven mostly by loadings from Primorsk and Ust-Luga ports, market sources said.

Russian energy company Novatek NVTK.MM restored its gas condensate complex at Ust-Luga to full capacity last month after repairs to equipment damaged by August drone attacks.

By contrast, fuel exports from the southern routes dropped drastically.

Oil product exports via the Black Sea and Azov Sea ports fell 30.2% to 2.062 million tons owing to damage from drone attacks, the data and Reuters calculations showed.

Russia's Black Sea port of Tuapse suspended fuel exports while the local oil refinery halted crude processing after November 2 drone attacks. Oil product loadings via Tuapse port were restored two weeks later.

The Black Sea port of Novorossiysk was also attacked by drones in November.

Oil product exports from the Arctic ports of Murmansk and Arkhangelsk rose 80% in November to 57,400 tons from 32,900 tons the previous month.

Fuel export loadings at Russia's Far East ports rose by 1.2% from October to 677,800 tons, the data from industry sources showed.
