Recyclus - UK Battery Strategy Taskforce

Technology Minerals Plc (LSE: TM1), the UK's pioneering firm in establishing a
circular economy for battery metals, is pleased to announce that its 48.35%
owned battery recycling business, Recyclus Group Ltd ("Recyclus"), notes the
publication of the Department for Business & Trade's UK battery strategy -
which brings together government activity to achieve a globally competitive
battery supply chain by 2030, that supports economic prosperity and the net
zero transition.

UK Battery Strategy

The strategy was developed with the UK battery strategy taskforce, drawing on
the call for evidence and engagement with businesses and stakeholders across
UK industry groups.

As a member of the taskforce, Recyclus is cited in the report as: "The
country's first and only industrial-scale recycling facility. It is licenced
to turn 22,000 tonnes of spent lithium-ion batteries, taken from a range of
sources including electric cars, each year into black mass without using
water, and has a low carbon footprint." Link to UK Battery Strategy:

In summary, the government's vision is for the UK to continue to grow a
thriving battery innovation ecosystem and become a world leader in sustainable
design, manufacture, and use. The UK battery strategy is based around a
design-build-sustain approach. Through this strategy, the UK will:

· design and develop batteries of the future

· strengthen the resilience of UK manufacturing supply chains

· enable the development of a sustainable battery industry.

Robin Brundle, Chairman of Technology Minerals and Director of Recyclus, said:
"We welcome the purpose and positive direction of the UK battery strategy and
its key relevance to the future development and investment into the UK's
battery ecosystem. We continue to work alongside the government team and
taskforce members as we all seek to build upon the UK's capabilities to build
a thriving battery supply chain to support industry sectors in the UK."

Recyclus' first UK li-ion plant is operational and is receiving a steady
influx of li-ion battery waste from various commercial sources for which it
has already achieved up to 45% net black mass yield. It is the first
industrial scale li-ion battery recycling plant in the UK and is permitted to
process up to 22,000 tonnes of batteries per year with the aim to process
8,300 in its first full year of production.
