TECO ELECTRIC & MACHINERY CO., LTD. TO CANCEL LISTING OF GLOBAL DEPOSITARY SHARES ("GDSs") ON THE PROFESSIONAL SECURITIES MARKET OF THE LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE
1st August 2017 - TECO ELECTRIC & MACHINERY CO., LTD. ("TECO" or the "Company") (LSE: TECD and TECA), announces in accordance with Listing Rule 5.2.8 that it has requested (i) the UK Listing Authority to cancel the listing of the Company's GDSs on the Official List and (ii) the London Stock Exchange to cancel the GDSs' admission to trading on its Professional Securities Market.
It is anticipated that cancellations of the listing and admission to trading will take effect on23rd October 2017.
Having considered the relatively limited number of Shares currently represented by the GDSs and the level of liquidity in the GDSs, in light of the regulatory obligations associated with maintaining a listing of the GDSs in London and the associated cost and administrative burden, the Company has determined that maintaining a London listing of GDSs is no longer justifiable.
