AVROBIO rises on positive results from Gaucher disease gene therapy study

** Shares of gene therapy developer AVROBIO Inc  AVRO.O 
rise 9.5% to 92 cents premarket
    ** Co says investigational therapy - AVR-RD-02 - shows
improvement in major refractory element 15 months post gene
therapy in a patient with Gaucher disease type 3 (GD3), which is
a more severe, progressive form of the disease
    ** The pediatric patient showed complete biochemical
correction, which means both enzyme activity and substrate
levels have normalized post gene therapy - AVRO
    ** Co says therapy shows clinically significant reductions
in liver and spleen volume in early-to-mid-stage trial for GD1,
a subset of the disease
    ** Co plans to initiate a global, registrational mid-to-end
stage trial in GD3 in the second half of 2023
    ** AVRO adds its plato gene therapy platform for end-to-end
solution covering vector design and production, drug product
manufacturing and analytics is ready for end-stage trial
    ** Gaucher disease is a rare genetic disorder that affects
the metabolism of fat, cholesterol and other substances
    ** As of Tuesday's close, stock down ~78% YTD, compared with
a 10% decline in the Nasdaq biotechnology index  .NBI
