 MARKET RELEASE

Nora Scheinkestel to retire from the Telstra Board

Tuesday, 23 August 2022 - Telstra Director Nora Scheinkestel today announced
her intention to retire from the Telstra Board shortly after the company's
Scheme Meeting being held on 11 October 2022.

Nora has reached the end of her fourth three-year term as a Director, having
been appointed to the Board in August 2010. She has been a member of the
Audit & Risk Committee for eleven years, serving as its Chair for over six
years, and a member of the People & Remuneration Committee since February
2019.

Telstra Chairman John Mullen said Nora had been an outstanding Director and
made a significant and valuable contribution to the Board and Telstra during
her tenure.

"This includes being a member of the due diligence committees which helped
guide Telstra through the NBN transaction and our current proposed corporate
restructure," Mr Mullen said.

"Nora has been part of the Board at a time when Telstra has gone through some
of its greatest challenges and subsequent transformation. She has been an
exemplary Director, helping management navigate through one of the most
profound periods in the company's history.

"We express our sincere thanks to Nora and our best wishes for the future."

An announcement about the appointment of a new non-executive director will be
made in due course.
