Prosus jumps after media report saying Tencent nears WeChat AI agent launch

** Shares in Netherlands-based investment company Prosus PRX.AS are up 10%, set for their best day in four years
** Analysts point to a Financial Times report saying that Tencent 0700.HK,  the largest asset in Prosus’s portfolio, is set to launch an embedded AI agent for its messaging platform WeChat's 1.4 billion Chinese users
** "Tencent appears to be pursuing an AI strategy which focuses on agentic automation," SBG Securities' analyst Nadim Mohamed told Reuters
** The analyst flags that an agentic WeChat solution could resonate strongly, given the platform’s rich data on users’ social, payment and content habits
** "We think such a strategy could change Tencent's image of lagging tech peers in AI investment. It would also allow Tencent to leverage its strong ecosystem to drive a stronger position in AI in China," Mohamed adds
** Tencent shares were +10% on Hong Kong stock exchange
** Prosus shares are at the top of Amsterdam's AEX index .AEX
