Tesco CEO says don't read too much into sales growth slowdown LONDON, June 18 (Reuters) - The chief executive of Tesco TSCO.L said he wouldn't read too much into the unexpected slowdown in sales growth posted by Britain's biggest food retailer in the 13 weeks to May 30, which he said was linked to the weather.
"I wouldn't be reading too much into it," CEO Ken Murphy told reporters on Thursday, adding that the group was up a against a tough comparative period last year when the weather was "outstanding".
"The biggest impact on the market is the weather... the sales growth we had last year were truly exceptional."
