Buckle slips on lower Q1 sales, profit

** Shares of clothing and accessories retailer Buckle Inc
 BKE.N  down ~4% at $30 premarket
    ** BKE reports a fall in Q1 sales and profit, as consumers
cut back discretionary spending pressured by persistent
inflation 
    ** Says net sales for qtr ended April 29 fell 8.5% to $282.8
mln, with online sales decreasing 5.6%
    ** Net income drops to $42.9 mln, or 86 cents/share, from
$55.3 mln, or $1.12/share a year earlier 
    ** As of last close, stock down ~27% YTD
