UPDATE 1-Clorox veteran Linda Rendle to step down as CEO Adds background, details from the release in paragraphs 2-5
May 28 (Reuters) - Bleach maker Clorox CLX.N said on Thursday its chief executive officer, Linda Rendle, would step down due to health reasons, and has asked the board to begin search for a new CEO.
Rendle joined Clorox in 2003 and held roles across the company, before being named CEO in 2020.
She led the company through the August 2023 cyberattack, as well as supply-chain disruptions in the past few years.
Rendle will remain CEO while the board searches for her replacement, the company said in a statement.
In April, the company cut its annual profit forecast as it dealt with the impact of the war in Iran.
