** Shares of Orissa Minerals Development Company  ORIS.NS  rise as much as
11%, hits highest level since Nov 18, 2010
    ** The iron and manganese miner receives approval from pollution board to
operate Bagiaburu iron ore mine in Odisha state
    ** Stock gained ~13% so far this week, on course for biggest yearly rise
since listing in 2010
    ** More than 135,000 shares change hands, most active trading session in
seven weeks
    ** Stock last up 1.8%; rises ~162% YTD including day's gains
