U.S. stock indexes advanced on Wednesday, with the tech-heavy Nasdaq rising to a record high, as investors assessed corporate earnings as well as crucial data showing the economy maintained a steady pace of growth in the third quarter.  .N 
     
At 13:48 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.1% at 42,272.18. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.08% at 5,828.17 and the Nasdaq Composite  .IXIC  was down 0.06% at 18,701.467.
