Tilly's shares surge as Q3 results impress

** Shares of Tilly's Inc  TLYS.N  up as much as 16% to a
near 9-month high of $10.29 in early trading
    ** Stock last up ~13%, set for best day in a year if current
gains hold
    ** TLYS after hours on Thursday beat market estimates for Q3
results
    ** Net sales at the casual apparel retailer fell ~14% to
$177.8 mln for Q3 ended Oct. 29, but were above Refinitiv
estimates of $166.1 mln
    ** Q3 earnings of 17 cents/share also beats est. of 7
cents/share
    ** Co, however, says it is being cautious in its
expectations for Q4; forecasts EPS in the range of 2 cents-6
cents
    ** Wall Street expects a Q4 profit of 12 cents/share, per
four analysts polled by Refinitiv
    ** YTD, stock down ~37%
