Rheinmetall CEO says no decision yet on GNYK shipyard acquisition
Rheinmetall CEO says no decision yet on GNYK shipyard acquisition BERLIN, Aug 6 (Reuters) - Rheinmetall RHMG.DE cannot currently make a decision on the acquisition of German Naval Yards Kiel (GNYK) because it is unclear whether the shipyard will be needed after the German government scrapped the F126 programme, said CEO Armin Papperger.
"In some areas we think that we will get ... the first decisions, or nearly decisions, on how to go forward with different shipbuilding programmes (by the end of the year)," he told analysts after quarterly results.
