Wall Street's three main indexes slipped in choppy trading on Thursday as a
short-lived boost from a services activity survey fizzled out ahead of an
upcoming employment report.  .N

40,797.05. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.33% at 5,501.74 and the Nasdaq
