India's NTPC hits record high

** Shares of power producer NTPC  NTPC.NS  rise 8.6% to a
record high of 389.65 rupees 
    ** Co on Friday commenced commercial operations at second
and last part capacity at project in Rajasthan state
    ** Rise in NTPC also amid a rally in broader markers  .BO  
    ** Stock amid top five pct gainers on the state-run cos
Nifty PSE index  .NIFTYPSE , which surged 7.9% to hit a record
high 
    ** All stocks in the 20-member index are trading in green 
    ** Including session's gains, NTPC up ~25% YTD, while rival
Adani Power  ADAN.NS  and Torrent Power  TOPO.NS  have both
surged 64%
