Totally Urgent Care awarded contract extension worth c.£13 million p.a. to
provide national contingency support for NHS 111

Totally plc (AIM: TLY), a leading provider of frontline healthcare services,
corporate fitness and wellbeing services across the UK and Ireland, is
pleased to announce it has been awarded a contract extension by NHS England to
provide national NHS 111 contingency services for a further year.

 

The contract, awarded to Vocare Limited ("Vocare"), part of Totally Urgent
Care, will run for 12 months from 16 February 2024 at a value of c.£13
million per annum.

 

NHS England originally commissioned this support to provide additional call
handling and clinical capacity to help to alleviate pressures on local NHS 111
services. The original 12-month contract was announced on 16 January 2023 and
was for c.£10 million per annum. The extension increases the level of support
to be provided and reflects the ongoing demand for NHS 111. NHS 111 provides
an essential service to the UK population, offering support as wide-reaching
as over-the-telephone healthcare advice, to access to urgent and emergency
care.

 

Wendy Lawrence, CEO of Totally, said: "Totally has significant experience in
providing quality, resilient and responsive NHS 111 services. To date we have
answered almost half a million calls as part of the NHS England's National
Resilience programme. These calls would otherwise have gone unanswered leaving
those seeking to access care without the support they needed. As demand has
increased, we have responded, increasing capacity to ensure that calls to NHS
111 across the country are not abandoned.

 

The extension of this contract for a further year means that Totally continues
to be a core partner in the delivery of NHS 111 services until February 2025."

 

Directorate Changes Update

Further to the announcement on 28 November 2023 the Company also confirms that
Simon Stilwell, who joined the Board as a Non-Executive Director and Chairman
Designate on 28 November 2023, became the Company's Non-Executive Chairman
with effect from 1 January 2024.

Urgent Care: Totally's urgent care services are delivered under the Totally
Urgent Care brand, by Vocare and Greenbrook Healthcare. Both businesses have

including NHS 111, GP Out of Hours and Urgent Treatment centres on behalf of
the NHS for more than 25 years and 15 years respectively.

 

Elective care: Totally's elective care services are delivered by Pioneer
Healthcare, About Health and Premier Physical Healthcare.

 

·    Pioneer Healthcare was established in 2007 and delivers a wide range
of acute services to NHS patients, in partnership with independent healthcare
sector private hospitals across England, to help the NHS reduce waiting lists
whilst maintaining patient care and quality. Pioneer offer services through
insourcing and outsourcing agreements and through its Any Qualified Provider
status.

·    About Health has been delivering community-based specialist care with
a focus on delivering prompt assessment and treatment across the country since
2008.

·    Premier Physical Healthcare was established in 2007 and provides
physiotherapy and podiatry services to NHS patients, often within a community
GP practice, and to the prison service.

 

Corporate Wellbeing Services: Totally's corporate wellbeing services are
delivered through Energy Fitness Professionals ("EFP").  EFP is a corporate
fitness provider established in 1990 to address a gap in the market for
workplace fitness, which has grown to offer a range of services covering
workplace wellbeing. EFP manages 61 gyms on behalf of its corporate customers,
with more than 14,000 members.
