Talaris Therapeutics rises on cutting jobs, exploring strategic options

** Shares of Talaris Therapeutics  TALS.O  rise 10.13% to
$1.74 premarket 
    ** Says it has started evaluation of strategic alternatives,
including potential business combination and divestment of its
chemistry, manufacturing and controls capabilities, which are
integral aspects of its cell and gene therapy development
    ** Co to reduce its workforce by nearly one-third as part of
restructuring plan
    ** Adds that it has decided to discontinue its trials
evaluating lead therapy FCR001's ability to induce durable
tolerance in living donor kidney transplant recipients
    ** However, mid-stage clinical trial evaluating FCR001's
ability to induce tolerance in scleroderma to continue - TALS;
scleroderma causes chronic hardening and tightening of the skin
and connective tissues
    ** Stock lost ~94% in 2022
