conflict in Middle East

raising fears fighting could spread two days after Hamas
fighters' shock attack
    ** S&P 500  .SPX  and the Nasdaq  .IXIC  fall
    ** Apple  AAPL.O  and Microsoft  MSFT.O  down 0.2% each;
Intel  INTC.O  down 1%
    ** U.S.-listed shares of Israeli chipmaker Tower
Semiconductor  TSEM.O  down 5.6% and Jerusalem-headquartered
Mobileye  MBLY.O  down 6.2%
