Tracon Pharma rises after clinical trial application for cancer drug

** Shares of Tracon Pharmaceuticals Inc  TCON.O  rise 2.7%
to $1.89 in afternoon trade
    ** TCON says it submitted an application to the U.S. FDA to
start an early-to-mid stage trial of its drug candidate, YH001, 
for patients with a type of advanced cancer  urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nGNX3c4l6Q
    ** Trial expected to begin before end of this year pending
clearance and will test YH001 with other drugs for patients with
certain rare as well as common types of sarcoma, including those
who have not received prior therapy - TCON
    ** Sarcoma refers to a group of cancers that begin in the
bones and soft tissues
    ** Stock down nearly 32% YTD, including session gains
