acquisitions and disposals were reported by 1330 GMT on Tuesday:
** Canadian electric utility TransAlta Corp TA.TO will
buy the rest of the stake it does not own in TransAlta
Renewables Inc RNW.TO in a cash-and-stock deal valued at

** U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren, a Democrat and
frequent merger critic, joined three other lawmakers on Tuesday
to urge the Defense Department to thoroughly review defense

** U.S. private equity firm KKR & Co KKR.N is exploring
options, including a sale, for its majority stake in commercial
