Travelzoo launches metaverse platform; shares fall

** Internet media co  TZOO.O  announces metaverse division
and says customer-facing platform, Travelzoo META, will roll out
in April
    ** Shares down 4.1% at $5.75 premarket
    ** Travelzoo META is paid subscription-based service that
gives users exclusive access to curated metaverse travel
experiences; co will regularly add new experiences
    ** Several companies, from dating to gaming sectors, are
getting into so-called metaverse - a virtual world where humans
interact through digital avatars - after Meta  FB.O  announced
major plans in the space last year
