** Shares of drugmaker Travere Therapeutics TVTX.O rise 37.43% to $42.19 premarket
** Co said late on Monday U.S. FDA has approved expanded use of its drug, Sparsentan, to treat rare kidney disease
** TVTX says per-pill price of Sparsentan would stay same, but adult patients with FSGS would require higher dose, raising cost per patient for payers
** Sparsentan is already approved to treat IgA nephropathy, which is a progressive autoimmune condition and costs about $9,900 a month
** "We expect the launch to be strong due to urgency to treat this faster-progressing disease," says Jeffries, which sees limited near-term competition as TVTX holds three-year head start
** As of last close, TVTX down 19.7% YTD
