Company Secretary Appointment
The Board of Trifast plc (Ticker: TRI), the international fastenings group is pleased to announce that Clare Foster (age 40) has from 1 March 2015, taken up the additional responsibilities of Company Secretary.
Clare joined Trifast in January 2015 where, as Group Financial Controller, she is responsible for assisting the Group Finance Director in all aspects of group financial management and accounting governance. The role of Company Secretary will involve supporting the Main Board and its committees to function effectively, and so contribute to the 'continuous improvement' of the Company's commitment to Corporate Governance Best Practice.
Prior to joining Trifast, Clare worked with KPMG for 16 years in a number of client facing and internal roles. Although she began her career in the audit practice, most recently Clare held a strategic projects role working alongside the UK leadership team in London. She is an FCA with a BA (Hons) degree in Social Anthropology from Sussex University.
Following this appointment, Mark Belton who has been responsible for Group Secretariat activities since 2004 relinquishes his Company Secretarial role in order to allow him to focus on his overall Main Board responsibilities and Group Finance Director role at Trifast.

This restructure also allows more time for Mark to further focus on global finance and corporate projects, which are key in supporting our objective to build on our business platform and returns from future investment initiatives."
