Appointment of CEO
Tristel plc (AIM: TSTL), the manufacturer of infection prevention products, announces the appointment of Christopher ("Chris") Lee as Chief Executive Officer ("CEO"), with effect from 1 August 2026. Chris's appointment follows the conclusion of a competitive selection process, and he will replace Matt Sassone, who is leaving on 30 June to take up a worldwide president role with a large US multinational. Anna Wasyl, Chief Financial Officer, will act as interim CEO ahead of Chris joining.
Chris joins the Company following a successful career in the medical technology sector, most recently serving as Chief Executive Officer of Summit Medical Ltd, a UK-based medical device group, from 2020 to 2025. During his tenure, Chris led the strategic development and growth of the business, overseeing its operations across multiple subsidiaries and driving expansion in international markets.
Prior to this, Chris was CEO of Venner Medical International, a Jersey-based developer and manufacturer of respiratory and anaesthesia products, from 2013 to 2020. He continues to serve as Non-Executive Chairman of Venner Medical Deutschland GmbH, a position he has held since October 2013. Earlier in his career, Chris held senior leadership roles at Teleflex Incorporated, a global medical technology company, where he was Vice President, Global Integration, and at LMA International, where he served as General Manager and Deputy Group CEO.
Chris has over 35 years' experience in the medical technology and healthcare industry, spanning senior management, commercial leadership and operational roles including an 18-year career at Johnson & Johnson. He began his career in sales and has extensive international experience across Europe and the United States.
Chris holds an MBA from Cranfield University and a Diploma in Marketing from Napier University, Edinburgh.
