TUI has seen strong bookings over the last few weeks, CEO tells ZDF FRANKFURT, Aug 19 (Reuters) - Travel group TUI TUI1n.DE has seen strong bookings over the last few weeks, underpinning expectations for a good business year, its CEO told broadcaster ZDF on Wednesday.
"I was actually a little surprised myself that we’ve still seen such a strong surge over the last few weeks," said CEO Sebastian Ebel, citing appetite for "value-for-money" offerings and fading concerns over the war in Iran.
"We’ve had an surprisingly strong last-minute business, so it’s going to be a good year," he said.
