** Shares in TUI  TUI1n.DE rise around 2% after the travel group said it saw a positive start to the winter 2025/26 season

** The upbeat winter outlook contrasts positively with Jet2's warning earlier this month of softer demand this winter, analysts say

** "Given the competitor commentary over demand softening into the winter from peers like Jet2, TUI pointing to continued robust demand through the summer and into next winter is being taken positively," James Goodall from Redburn Atlantic notes

** Europe's largest tour operator also confirmed its annual guidance after hiking guidance for profit in August
