    Wall Street's main indexes edged lower on Friday after data showed the
economy added jobs at a rapid pace last month, feeding into fears that the
Federal Reserve could keep interest rates higher for longer in its fight against
inflation.  .N 
    At 10:38 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.20% at
34,123.68. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.08% at 4,176.29 and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was down 0.04% at 12,196.228.
