       Dec 17 (Reuters) - Below are company-related news and
stories from France and Benelux which could have an impact on
the region's markets or individual stocks.
     
    TotalEnergies  TTEF.PA 
French oil major Total Energies sold 50% of its shares in UK's
West Burton Energy gas power plant to Epuki.
     
    Vallourec  VLLP.PA 
French steel tubes maker Vallourec announced the sale of a
substantial majority of its Düsseldorf-Rath production site to
CTP for 155 million euros. The transaction is expected to close
around year-end 2024.
     
    EssilorLuxottica  ESLX.PA 
Ray-Ban maker EssilorLuxottica said it signed an agreement to
acquire Italy-based Espansione Group.
     
    UCB  UCB.BR 
UCB said its minzasolmin proof-of-concept ORCHESTRA study in
Parkinson's disease, developed in partnership with Novartis
 NOVN.S  had not met primary or secondary clinical endpoints.
UCB has initiated measures to terminate extension phase of
ORCHESTRA program.
     
    Universal Music Group  UMG.AS 
Virgin Music Group, global independent music division of
Universal Music Group, announced it will acquire Downtown Music
Holdings LLC for $775 million. The transaction is expected to
close in the second half of 2025.
