April 28 (Reuters) - The Nasdaq Composite fell on Tuesday, underperforming the benchmark S&P 500 and the blue-chip Dow, as investors questioned whether the artificial intelligence boom can deliver meaningful growth for tech stocks. .N

At  1130 EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 0.11% at 49,221.28. The S&P 500 .SPX was down 0.72% at 7,122.07, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was down 1.33% at 24,556.31.
