Wall Street's main indexes edged higher on Thursday after inflation data came in
line with estimates, fueling hopes the Federal Reserve could pause its monetary
tightening, while Salesforce shares climbed on upbeat forecasts.  .N 
    
    At 13:54 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 0.20% at
34,821.36. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.03% at 4,516.29 and the Nasdaq Composite
 .IXIC  was up 0.22% at 14,049.61.
