Subject: Issue of Equity

The Company announces that it has made an application to the UK Listing
Authority and the London Stock Exchange ('LSE') for the listing of a further
32,604,056 ordinary shares of 25p each ("Ordinary Shares").The Ordinary Shares
were allotted today pursuant to the authorities granted at the annual general
meeting of the Company held on 17 June 2014.The Ordinary Shares rank pari passu
with the existing shares in issue. The Ordinary Shares have been allotted and
issued at a price of 83.5p per share. It is expected that the new shares will
be admitted to listing and to trading on the LSE at 8.00 a.m. on 18 November
2014.

Following this issue, the total issued share capital of the Company will be
1,299,412,465 and the total number of voting rights in the Company will be
1,299,412,465.

The above figures may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the
calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their
interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's
Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
