** U.S.-listed shares of uniQure UQ1.F, QURE.O more than double to $34.06 premarket

** Netherlands-based drugmaker says its experimental gene therapy significantly slowed progression of a brain disorder in early-to-mid stage study

** QURE is developing therapy called AMT-130 to treat Huntington's disease, a rare, inherited brain disorder that gradually impairs movement, thinking and behavior, eventually leading to severe disability and death

** Up to last close, stock had fallen 22.7% YTD
